Thank you for celebrating PADI’s annual Women’s Dive Day with Kon-Tiki Diving! We celebrate women participating in the dive community, conservation, and sharing their diving experiences around the globe.
While you may think that women have been diving for a long while, actually, the first woman to complete a course was only in March 14, 1975. Donna Tobias was the US Navy’s first woman deep sea diver.
Since then, Donna paved the way for other professional divers such as Mary Bonnin, Sylvia Earle, and even more. Regardless of why your female diving role models are, we are thrilled that you turned up for this event and showed your support for women in diving.
Check out PADI’s Women’s Dive Day site and join the Facebook Page to add to the fun and photos from today’s event. We look forward to seeing you next year!
